The Diar Lemdina Hotel is in the centre of Medina Mediterranea , 300 metres from the sea in the Yasmine Hammamet area. The local marina has plenty of yachts, elegant shops and a palm edged waterfront parade. The traditional walled medina has a selection of craft items and jewellery for sale. Hammamet centre has a lot of history and plenty of interesting architecture and a 15th century fort. Hammamet is not just popular for its palm fringed golden sandy beaches, great watersports and shopping but also has some history. A 15th century fortress overlooks the resort and coastline, and the local medina is packed with bazaars giving visitors a taste of the traditional.
